ING Luxembourg is looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager (bond specialist) who will be working in the Portfolio Management team located in the ING Private Banking. He will report to the head of Discretionary Portfolio Management.The aim the Dsicretionary Portfolio Management is to manage client’s portfolios in delegation or our internal Investment funds (UCITs or AIF) used in our different investment solutions (Discretionary or Advisory mandates)

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Manager to manage our bond funds, our discretionary portfolio model or real portfolios. You will be part of the Investment Office Benelux bond committee. You will collaborate with different internal or external counterparties (clients, Private Bankers, other group portfolio managers, research brokers etc ) with the aim of generating above-average performance or outperforming Group benchmarks.

Job description

You work in an expert team in a collaborative way with various local or group decision committees.

Your key responsibilities:

- Monitoring of discretionary accounts under his/her responsibility in a MifidII environment: compliance with management rules, investment universe, ING Luxembourg strategy, implementation of management decisions, compliance with profiles, operational management.
- drawing up investment proposals for discretionary management in line with customer requirements and the ING Luxembourg management charter
- draft one-off or recurring management reports for clients under his/her responsibility.
- participate in sourcing new investment solutions/ideas for all portfolios
- active participation in the department's investment committees, as well as in monthly information meetings with sales teams.
- Participate in the development of ING Luxembourg's model direct line portfolios and/or investment funds.
- More specific monitoring of the Bond asset class:
1/ management of our bond fund range (sustainable bond, corporate, short duration, fixed maturity funds) : day to day management, report, ESG labels

2/ member of the Investment Office Bond committee of ING

3/ Definition of the bond model portfolios for our discretionary activity
- Expert in asset allocation, expertise in cross-asset investment solutions

Your profile

Competencies / Behavior:

- Strong knowledge of the global macroeconomic environment
- Strong knowledge of the financial instruments, especially fixed income
- Good commercial focus to support Private Bankers teams, maintain and develop relationships.
- Team spirit.
- Dynamic and autonomous
- Ease of communication

Experience
- University degree (Bac +5), ideally reinforced by CFA, CIIA or MBA.
- At least bilingual (French, English), Dutch is a real assets
- An ESG certification is an asset
- 7-10 year’s experience in discretionary management (bank mandate, life insurance or bond funds such as UCITs or AIFs).
- Bloomberg experience, triple A, Excel, VBA.
