Our Risk & Compliance division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compliance Manager to join our Luxembourg office.

This role sits in the Compliance Advisory Luxembourg Department for the Group funds which have appointed aILSA as their Super Management Company. This includes providing support for the funds registered in Luxembourg, Ireland and France and regulated by the CSSF, CBI and AMF in accordance with the requirements of the UCITS and AIFM directives as well as building knowledge with focus on product and structures

Key duties & responsibilities in this role will include:
Investment Compliance & Advisory- Compliance support and input to product development process (including fund launch and change, fund merger, liquidation, and prospectus updates);- Reviewing Product launch or change proposals and legal documentation updates and Compliance sign-off;- Assisting and advising on Compliance aspects, over the funds-life-cycle, in particular with focus on Luxembourg CSSF regulatory requirements;- Compliance monitoring to ensure the Funds are compliant with the terms of each respective prospectus, and their constitutional documents and applicable Luxembourg, Irish and French laws and regulations (including Private Market and Real Estate funds);- Investment restrictions monitoring, swift analysis of any potential breach- Active breach /material NAV error notification to the CSSF, including proper follow up on the resolution and preventive measures agreed.- Compliance advice to front office with regards to eligibility of assets and markets in line with UCITS regulation.- Work closely with the group functions to ensure a proper ESG Investment Compliance framework is established

Regulatory interaction (CSSF, CBI, AMF)- Assisting in the maintenance of positive and constructive relations with the regulators, including providing routine and exceptional reporting to the CSSF, CBI and AMF.- Coordinating completion and feedback on CSSF requests and regulator’s ad’ hoc questionnaires.

Reporting- Provide support for compliance reporting requirements, including the coordination of the internal reporting for Management Company Executive Committee and Board paper, the compliance statements on the compliance status of the Group’s funds upon client’s request and RFP/DDQ and reporting to external auditors & service providers (including appointed central administrators/ depositaries).

Regulatory implementation- To assist the Head of Compliance Luxembourg in ensuring proper analysis is carried out for new regulatory development impacting the Investment Compliance activity.- Participating in industry regulatory technical committees and groups (ALFI).

Other Responsibilities- To assist the Head of Compliance Luxembourg with team development, management and structure. Ensure that the tasks, duties and priorities of the direct reports are properly assigned amongst team members to ensure proper coverage and back-up.- To provide assistance to ASIL and Group’s projects where compliance Luxembourg is involved and related tasks as appropriate.- To make sure any external auditors and depositary request is adequately addressed.

What we're looking for:
- University degree in Law and/or business.- Proven experience in a similar role.- Excellent understanding of Luxembourg UCITS investment funds,- Knowledge of AIFs or non-UCITS funds.- French AIFs funds and Irish domiciled funds (both UCITS and AIFs) would be a plus.- Self-starter who is able to flag issues and communicate clearly what the regulatory risks are,- Fluent in English and French,- Understanding of a management company operational set up in Luxembourg (e.g. delegation and control functions in place),- Teamwork, quick learner, high quality standards and good networking skills.
