LISER invites highly qualified and motivated applicants for the position of Research Associate to join the **_Development Policy Impact Analysis_** **_Unit _**which is**_ _**hosted at LISER and works in close interaction with the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (_Le Ministère des Affaires étrangères et européennes, de la Défense, de la Coopération et du Commerce extérieur_).

**Your role**:
With regard to scientific activities:

- Actively contribute to the production of scientific outputs, with a focus on development-related topics and policy-oriented research activities ;
- Develop a scientific profile through publications on CAPID's priority research topics such as climate induced migration, impact of development policies, impact of development aid, among others.

With regard to promotion and communication activities:

- Produce policy research reports and policy briefs ;
- Communicate results to stakeholders within and outside academia ;
- Maintain the LISER climate migration dashboard ;
- Participate in fundraising activities at national and/or international level by contributing to the preparation and submission of proposals.

With regard to administrative activities:

- Organise CAIPD Steering Committee meetings ;
- Participate in the day-to-day management of CAIPD and contribute to reporting tasks, organisation of the work plan, submission of deliverables, etc ;
- Liaise with support services and administrative staff for the development of the project.

**Your profile**:

- PhD in Economics or in Social and Data Sciences ;
- Proven track record of successful research, good knowledge of quantitative methods ;
- Strong interest in structural modeling ;
- Strong interest in building and maintaining dashboards ;
- Strong interest in policy-oriented research ;
- Experience in writing policy briefs and research proposals, developing research networks, and communicating findings to different types of stakeholders (academic audiences, policy-makers, wider public) ;
- Excellent written and oral skills in English.
