**_ Contract : Freelance - 2 months contract + extension 6 months_**

**_ Location : Hybrid contract - Onsite & Offsite._**

In support of the Chief Economist Department, the Consultant will develop a data catalogue including a preliminary analysis of available data that may serve as basis to assess climate risks.

**TASKS**
- Build a data catalogue of climate risk related data with links to macroeconomic, fiscal, and financial stability, under the guidance of the company staff.
- Collect meta data on source, data access, relation to climate risks relevant to the company, scope, country/entity coverage, historic coverage, frequency, publication lag.
- Based on the data catalogue, and under guidance from the company’s staff, build a data dictionary at data series level of data with relation to climate risks relevant to the client.
- Where feasible, leveraging internal tools and the internal data-warehouse, establish the capability to maintain up-to-date access to the data source.
- Provide a one-time data extract in structured and harmonized spreadsheets, potentially leveraging the internal technology stack, where feasible.
- Perform preliminary analysis of the data, identifying key characteristics, and summary statistics, making use of business intelligence software Tableau as required.
- Assist in linking data sources and analyses to regular the company monitoring tools and assessments as required.
- Create relevant documents, reports or presentations as required.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**:
***- Master level degree or above, preferably in an economics, finance, or econometrics area. - At least 2 years of relevant experience in analyzing climate related data and establishing links to macroeconomic, fiscal and financial stability. Greater experience, particularly in working with public sector institutions, is an asset.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with financial market data.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with data sources such as Eurostat, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Haver Analytics, etc. Practical experience with SDMX data interface is an asset.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience designing, creating, and maintaining databases.
- At least 1 years of relevant experience working with financial market data.
- Practical experience working with Business Intelligence Software, in particular Tableau is an asset.
- Relevant experience with scripting languages such as Matlab, R or Python is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of econometric techniques is an asset.
- Experience with SQL and working with databases is an asset.
- CFA or other relevant professional qualifications is an asset.
- Fluency in English (CEFR C1 level or equivalent), including good drafting in that language.
