**JOB BRIEF**
Weerts Group is looking to strengthen its Finance team with a polyvalent** International Tax Manager**, to add value and reinforce the Group’s growing activities in all its divisions, but predominantly in the context of its growing pan-European activities logistics real estate.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
In this position you will work very closely with the rest of the Finance team members. You support and give tax input where necessary. Taking the initiative is highly valued. Depending on your skills, experience and commitment, you can give your own interpretation of your tasks in accordance with the Group’s needs.
As an **International Tax Manager**, you will be required to take the following responsibilities:
- Tax Consulting
With the support of external tax consultants when required, you will advise and oversee:
- any international investment or tax due diligence (acquisition DD or vendor DD) related to real estate transactions (mainly logistics real estate) that the Group would like to achieve,
- any direct taxation aspects related to any investment (corporate tax, withholding tax ) in various jurisdictions where the Group operates,
- any indirect taxation matters (VAT, real estate tax ) in same jurisdictions,
- the supervision and monitoring of any amendment of international tax matters that may have an impact on the Group’s investments.
- Tax Compliance
While performed by external tax providers (excepted for the Belgian entities), you will review, coordinate, and oversee the tax returns of the (real estate) companies in the various jurisdictions. You will also anticipate and secure the respect of the legal filing deadlines of all tax returns.
- Tax Oversight
As International Tax Manager, you will be in charge to supervise and ensure that the international structures of the Group are and will remain fully tax compliant with existing laws and recent applicable international tax legislations (GAAR, ATAD I, ATAD II, DAC 6, MLI, ) as well as the ones to come in the future (ATAD III, ).
**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED - YOUR PROFILE**
- Master’s degree in economics, law or from a business school with a major in tax,
- Between 7 to 10 years of professional tax experience,
- Demonstration ability to identify tax consulting opportunities,
- Willingness to build strong and lasting relationships with the Group’s external tax advisors,
- Well-organized and detail-oriented,
- Excellent analytical skills,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French and/or Dutch (German is a plus),
- Positive attitude, integrity & honesty, team player.
