**Job Description**:
Our client in a US based asset management firm with an established presence in Luxembourg. The European team are looking to add an additional senior member of the team to their Luxembourg office due to growth.
You will take the lead for several complex real estate funds, with full accountability of the financial reporting (IFRS or LUX GAAP including consolidations). Your success will be in your ability to engage with investors and other stakeholders, bringing your critical thinking and knowledge to the table delivering market leading advice and solutions.
Via your team of Fund Controllers, you will have final oversight of the external service providers ensuring that all work, both in-house and outsourced, is delivered accurately and on time.
There is a small competent and qualified fund accounting team who will take responsibility for the day-to-day activities, allowing you to serve as the key point of contact in the Fund Control team, for investors and other stakeholders.
You will bring true value with your expertise in emerging trends, triggering robust discussions around optimisation, innovation and maintaining a competitive edge.
- Relevant degree in accounting preferred with 7+ years of experience in real estate funds in Luxembourg, gained in accounting or auditing.
- Good technical knowledge of IFRS and LUX GAAP accounting. Consolidations experience preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills and one other European language is advantageous
- Experience in working with 3rd party service providers including fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors
