**Scope**
AIG is seeking an experienced Head of HR, EMEA who will lead a progressive EMEA HR team within the Global HR Team. The role will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing HR strategies that align with business goals whilst ensuring regulatory adherence across the region.
Reporting to the Head of HR - International and EMEA CEO, the Head of HR EMEA is a member of the International HR team and EMEA leadership team and will oversee a regionally based team of approx. 40 FTE. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, enable culture change, lead talent initiatives, and manage a team of HR professionals across multiple countries.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Act as, and be, a respected partner with the EMEA Leadership Team (CEO EMEA, Cluster GM’s, Functional and Product Leads) to develop and implement our people strategy. Build strong relationships with the AIG and Senior Management teams across EMEA's operations, and be an accepted and influential business partner, consultant and change agent on all key business decisions/strategies with people implications.
- Be a thought leader and drive forward HR innovation which contributes creatively to the culture, values and ethos of AIG and its clients.
- Provide a high-quality resourcing and market insight to enable us to attract and retain diverse talent where we require additional skills and experience and to attract key players from our competitors.
- Lead talent initiatives, talent reviews and succession process by partnering with senior management in identifying development plans to address key skill and knowledge gaps.
- Lead the organizational design work supporting the CEO, EMEA and leadership through company transformation.
- Provide strong employee relations support and ensure adherence to employment law and best practice
- Further enhance and sustain AIGs employer branding proposition in the market via robust and meaningful Culture and Inclusion initiatives building on the great work done with ERG’s.
- Provide HR project leadership on significant business events within the region, such as, merger and acquisition, business reorganization, based on market practice and in line with local regulations.
- Collaborate with International HR leadership team and colleagues, embedding and translating global HR Policy and HR transformation programmes locally throughout the EMEA region
- Provide strategic leadership / oversight of the HR teams across EMEA (22 countries), develop bench strength and broaden HR capabilities and drive cross-border HR programmes and initiatives within the team working closely with the HR COE’s.
- Responsible for setting and managing the HR Budget
**Job Requirements**:
- Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Substantial experience in HR leadership at regional or global level.
- Proven track record in leading cross-border HR operations, integrations and change management
- Deep experience in regulated financial services or insurance environments
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and regulations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
- Experience with complex HR transformations, systems / HRIS implementation.
- Strong level of cultural sensitivity and capability to operate in diverse, matrixed environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ideally another continential European language.
