Human Innovation Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Officer with expertise in AIFs Illiquid Assets. As a Senior Risk Officer, you will play a critical role in our risk management team and provide strategic guidance in managing risk associated with illiquid assets within Alternative Investment Funds.
As a German Speaker, you will be responsible for communicating with German-speaking clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective risk management strategies are in place.
**Responsibilities**:
- Development of risk profiles for managed investment funds, establishment of risk limits for defined key risk indicators, and monitoring of their compliance.
- Assisting the risk management function in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of current risk management policies and procedures concerning market, liquidity, credit, counterparty, valuation, and operational risks for AIFs and UCITS.
- Preparation and submission of risk management reports to the Executive Board, the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Authority CSSF, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop strategies and controls to mitigate risks
- Review and assess the valuation of illiquid assets in AIFs
- Perform due diligence on illiquid assets and identify potential risks
- Provide guidance and support to the risk management team on AIFs illiquid assets
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements related to UCITS and AIFs.
- Participating in the implementation of transaction reviews is a requirement for this role. These reviews are a crucial part of the investment process for alternative investments, which include Real Estate Equity, Real Estate Debt, Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Fund of Funds.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, specifically in AIFs illiquid assets
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in overseeing UCITS and AIFs
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for Luxembourg management companies for AIFs and UCITS, such as CSSF 18/698, AIFMD Law 2013, and UCITS Law 2010.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional certifications related to risk management (e.g., FRM, CFA) are highly desirable
