Oracle Dba Consultant

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day database operations, ensuring stability and performance.
- Handle service requests, incident resolution and implementation of changes.
- Install, configure and maintain database system software to support business operations.
- Perform and manage database migrations to Oracle 19C.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize database efficiency.
- Execute database refreshes as required by business needs.
- Ensure database security through proper access control and permission management.
- Manage backup and recovery of databases using **Oracle RMAN**, ensuring full disaster recovery capability.
- Configure and administer **Oracle High Availability solutions** using **RAC** & **Data Guard**.
- Propose and implement improvements for database maintenance, reliability, performance and security.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a **Database Administrator** with Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge of **Oracle 19C** and experience with database migrations.
- Expertise in **backup and recovery** strategies (RMAN).
- Experience with **Oracle RAC** for scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.
- Good understanding of database security, roles and permissions.
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incidents, requests, changes) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluent in English, French is an asset.
- 6 years of similar experience and a bachelor degree in IT.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for database administration.
- Exposure to virtualization or cloud environments.

**Work Conditions**:

- Full-time position on-site (1 Homeworking day /W) or full off-site position (to decide)
- Participation in on-call or standby duties as required for critical systems support.
