As part of Human Resources Shared Service Center - your mission will be to lead, coordinate and monitor within the organization of all measures necessary to ensure compliance with the Group’s personal data protection policies and procedures for ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg, provide expertise advice, educate employees and support the organization on data compliance requirements or challenges, interact within a diverse internal & external stakeholders: working closely with the Group DPO organization, working with each of the segments or business units with teams in Luxembourg, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection, being part of the Group Data Protection Correspondant’ community.

**Purpose of the role**:
The Data Protection Correspondent is acting as “ambassador” for the deployment of the Data Protection Procedure, the Binding Corporate Rules [GA1] and Polices as adopted by AM Group in the internal organization within his/her perimeter (the Subsidiaries within his/her geographical and/or organizational scope)
- Serve as the main point of contact within the organization for ArcelorMittal employees & organizations, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection in Luxembourg.
- Ensure that company policies are effective, known and applied in compliance with the applicable local privacy laws, recommendations and guidelines issued by relevant Data Protection Authorities, (e.g., CNPD), and European regulations, such as General Data Protection Regulation in Luxembourg (GDPR).
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and internal procedure to identify areas of improvement, and rectify any issues
- Devise training plans and provide data protection advice to the organization in Luxembourg
- Inform and advise the DPO and his/her team on any actual or potential issue pertaining to the Data Protection and as well the business leads representatives in Luxembourg
- Promote and develop a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization in Luxembourg.

**Mission**
- Coordination of all measures necessary to ensure compliance with the Group’s personal data protection policies and procedures in Luxembourg;
- Continued supervision and provision of necessary trainings; deliver training across all business units to staff members who are involved in data handling or processing in Luxembourg.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the Data processing registers for Luxembourg;
- Implementation of Group Data Protection policies (incl. translation and adaptation into local context);
- Monitoring and reporting on security /data breaches ; maintain records of all data processing activities and data mapping of the company using (among others) our privacy management platform;
- Follow-up on local issues and escalation if necessary;
- Draft new and amend existing Luxembourg internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders, considering applicable local privacy laws and regulations.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance and to address potential issues
- Work collaboratively within the HR Shared Services’ teams and with HR business partners, IT/IS function, legal & compliance function, business units to provide support, advice and expertise in the area of data protection in Luxembourg and provide proactive inputs on the future expectations for our Group within our Luxembourg environment. Manage transverse projects within the HRSSC scope or the functional area.

**What you’ll need**

**Education/qualification**: Master (University degree)

**Subject**: Legal & compliance, audit, risks management.

**Experience**:

- Min. 5 years of experience acquired within the area of data protection, compliance and/or related field
- Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of the GDPR
- Demonstrated experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- IT/IS systems skills: HR platforms, OneTrust, SAP, Oracle and ability with reporting/data
- Ability to communicate efficiently at all levels of the organization, internally and externally, excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all internal & external stakeholders to maximize reliability, initiatives, problem solving, and results.
- Ability to lead community of practices, challenge the status-quo and navigate during uncertain times.
- A relevant experience under the Luxembourg legal & compliance framework would be an advantage.
