**EU Compliance Analyst (gn) - based in Luxembourg**
- Role description_
The European Compliance function within Hiscox S.A. is expected to support the company in protecting itself from regulatory risk and preserving its reputation, image, and brand with its employees, customers, partners, regulators and with society as a whole. The EU Compliance Analyst is part of the European Compliance Function and is expected to support the EU Compliance Manager and the Head of Legal & Compliance Europe in delivering the European Compliance projects and priorities. The Analyst combines the ability to understand the operational and commercial complexities of the business with the need to meet regulatory demands and will be working with stakeholders at all levels of seniority and from all different branches and functions. This demanding and rewarding role requires understanding of insurance regulatory matters and business practices, in the areas of anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud prevention, anti-bribery, conduct risk, distribution compliance, conflicts of interest, etc. The EU Compliance Analyst will report to the EU Compliance Manager and will be based in Luxembourg, where Hiscox European head office is located.
- Duties & Responsibilities_
- As part of the European Compliance team, you will be involved in various tasks and activities in the areas of anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud prevention, anti-bribery, conduct risk, distribution compliance, conflicts of interest, etc. and contribute to establishing standards across the European business;
- You will provide support the EU Compliance Manager and the Head of Legal & Compliance Europe in delivering the European Compliance projects and priorities;
- You are expected to be the connecting link with the local Compliance teams in the different branches, contribute to maintaining the strong connectedness of the Compliance family and be the first point of contact for Compliance queries;
- You are responsible for the organisation of monthly European Compliance team meetings, following up on agreed actions and activities, contributing to the delivery of the European Compliance Plan, assisting the preparation of various regulatory disclosures and Compliance training, preparing information and metrics to support internal and external reporting, preparing internal communications on Compliance issues, maintaining the internal sources of Compliance information and contribute to the formalisation and uplifting of the Compliance control framework of the company.
- You will keep an eye on legal, regulatory, market and best practice developments in Luxembourg and in Europe as a whole and prepare analysis and impact assessment;
- You will work closely with the local Compliance teams and with colleagues from other European functions, as well as the Group Compliance team.

- Your profile_
- A. Knowledge and competences:_
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the insurance industry;
- Strong organisational skills to enable you to keep track of priorities, be efficient and have a get it done attitude;
- Strong communication and presentations skills and ability to discuss with business Compliance matters in plain language;
- Very good command of English; good language skills in French would be an asset
- Experience in providing trainings and raising awareness in audience with a varied level of experience and knowledge;
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office etc.)
