**Your Role...**:
The central “Office for Partnership, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (PaKTTO)” aims at bringing UL’s research outcomes to exploitation through partnerships, patenting, licensing and spin-off activities. Building on international best practices and UL’s significant research achievements, UL has already launched several significant partnerships, Proof-of-Concept projects and spin-off companies. We wish to consolidate our existing teams of experienced experts towards a fully-fledged central office, which will closely collaborate with the experts in UL’s entities in the spirit of a distributed hub-and-spoke system.

Main responsibilities:

- Identification of research results and assessment of their valorization potential (on different dimensions: Intellectual Property, Market, Technology, etc).
- Support for the development and management of Proof-of-Concept projects - New IP, valorization strategy, industry relationship, regular follow-up with researchers.
- Support for the setting-up of Public-Private Partnerships (identification of opportunities, discussions with partners, etc).
- Identification and negotiation of commercialization opportunities (licensing, spin-off creation).

**What we expect from you**:

- Post-graduate qualification (Master) in relevant scientific area. A PhD or MBA is an asset: Preferably in engineering, natural sciences, life sciences;
Appropriate work experience (4-10 yrs) in a relevant position in an academic and/or industrial environment;
- Track record in
- Building and supporting business relationships and partnerships;
- Knowledge and experience in IP protection and IP Rights;
- Self-starter capable of identifying and assessing opportunities;
- Commercialization and networking with academics and companies to realise those opportunities;
- Good comprehension of scientific and technological topics, market trends and (collaborative) research projects;
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; excellent communication skills, diplomatic negotiation style;
- Ability to work as a team player in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment;
- Fluency in English. French, German or Luxembourgish are an asset.
