Head of Truck Shipment Lpl

**Responsibilities**

Manage, support and monitor the transport service and the overall performance of the road transport to increase efficiency and maximise service and performance

Set up a transport plan with suppliers to achieve the transport of our products according to customers’ deadlines

Identify and analyze supplier performance gaps, meet with key transport suppliers to challenge processes and practices (action plan - follow-up)

Analyze and report to management the performance indicators and quality of service of road transport suppliers

Monitor and develop the processes already in place with a view to improving them using relevant KPIs

**Team management**:
Plan and organize team meetings in order to collectively transmit information, raise awareness and involve the team to achieve targets

Ability to coach and motivate teams in different locations

Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review

Carries out the annual interviews of his team and follows their objectives.

Be proactive in setting up innovative projects

Enrich and constantly animate our network of carriers

Participate in annual negotiations with our carriers

Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and customers

**Requirements**:
At least 5 years experience in a similar position

Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics

Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics

Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a team

Good analytical, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Strong written and oral communication skills

Language Skills: English & French is required - German and other languages are an advantage

Good Excel knowledge + general knowledge of MS Office tools is required

SAP-SD knowledge is an advantage
