BA/BS degree (or equivalent)
- 8+ years of Risk Management, Audit, Internal Controls, or Compliance experience
- Professional experience might include: identifying risk in key processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, development of policies, standards and procedures, monitoring, testing, issue management, risk appetite and metrics, and reporting.
- Subject-matter expertise in establishing and maintaining enterprise risk frameworks, such as CoSO, and conducting risk assessments
- Experience professionally interacting regularly and directly with senior executives.
- Ability to influence, negotiate with, and persuade others
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams on complex projects
- Advanced analytical skills
- Fluency (written and verbal) in English
- Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time

Job summary

Join our WW Transportation Risk & Compliance team, partnering with Amazon’s Transportation & Logistics leaders to design and implement scalable risk management solutions in the rapidly growing and complex, global environments of Middle-Mile transportation and Last-Mile deliveries.

We are looking for an experienced professional in Risk Management, Audit, Internal Controls, or Compliance who will be in charge of planning, coordinating and executing risk assessment activities across multiple transportation programs. The ideal individual is passionate about transportation risk management and willing to partner with different Amazon teams to optimize compliance programs that will include designing risk assessments, detailing governance programs.

This senior leader will report into the Head of Risk Management Operations, Europe, and will leverage their knowledge of regulations, their insight into industry standards, and their experience in risk assessment and mitigation to create and influence Amazon’s transportation policies and strategies throughout the business life-cycle.

Key job responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and perform end-to-end Risk Assessments of Transportation programs
- Implement global Risk Management Framework in Europe
- Provide business stakeholders with insightful analysis of their program’s risk universe
- Influence stakeholders in achieving the optimal balance of risk and growth
- Recommend controls and risk treatment strategies to reduce identified and emerging risks
- Partner with the business and other risk teams to drive risk mitigation initiatives embedded in the business process to fill control gaps
- Anticipate challenges/obstacles the transportation business would encounter while expanding geographies or launching new products
- CIA, CRMA, ISACA, CFE, CISA, CPA or similar risk, audit, or compliance credentials
- Experience working on issues impacting the technology industry, such as competition, privacy, consumer protection, tax, copyright, trade, labor, transportation and infrastructure, product compliance, sustainability.
- Understanding of data analysis skills and tools such as Tableau, SQL (intermediate to advanced)
- Fluency (written and verbal) in other languages such as Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish or Turkish is a plus
