Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) is one of the biggest banks in the Grand Duchy and offers retail, private, corporate and institutional banking as well as treasury and financial market services. Most of BIL’s 2000 employees work at the headquarters in Luxembourg city - this centralized setup promotes swift, agile decision-making and short reporting lines, enabling BIL to offer clients innovative solutions for their changing needs.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for anticipating and managing all new regulations and laws impacting our business.
You will also be in charge of managing the database dedicated to our regulatory correspondences. The position is based in Luxembourg. You will report to the Head of Regulatory Affairs.
**What will you do?**
- Help ensuring that the bank complies with all new regulations and laws pertaining to its business;
- Ensure the regulatory watch and liaise with the various bank’s departments concerned regarding the coming regulatory changes;
- Coordinate the network of regulatory experts (who deliver expertise and practical advice on regulatory aspects in their relevant business);
- Assist business lines in the practical implementation of regulatory projects;
- Provide memos and notes regarding new regulatory developments;
- Help launching new regulatory projects;
- Organize meetings, preparing the agenda and drafting the minutes of the Regulatory Committee, a management committee created in order to monitor regulatory developments and projects;
- Keep up to date the regulatory database dedicated to all correspondences we have with the regulators and authorities;
- Ensure an integrated view of the contacts with the regulators (therefore actively liaising with other business lines (e.g. Risk, Secretary General, Compliance).
Must Have Requirements
**You have**:
- Strong analytical and writing skills;
- Ideally a Law or Economic degree;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent communication and collaborative working skills;
- Motivation, drive and commitment;
- Integrity and strong business ethics;
- Good presentation skills.
**You are**:
- Organized, rigorous and conscientious;
- Fluent in English.
