_**Role Description**:_

**-Develop and implement bitFlyer Europe S.A. risk management framework and processes**:

- o Risk identification, risk matrix_
- o Risk appetite_
- o Risk management policy_
- o Risk monitoring_
- o Risk assessment_
- o Risk reporting, including Key Risk Indicators_
**- Covering the complete risk universe including**:

- o Reputational risk_
- o Liquidity risk_
- o Market risk, including FX risk_
- o Credit risk (to clients and other counterparties, e.g. banks)_
- o Interest rate risk_
- o Operational risk_
- o Information security risk_
- **New product and new process risk assessments**
**- Capital adequacy monitoring and reporting (working closely with Finance)**
**- Outsourcing oversight, including methodology development and implementation**
**- Operational risk event analysis**
**- Reporting to Management and Boards of Directors**
**- Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices**
**- Work closely with global Risk team in Japan, in particular to ensure consistency of approach across regions.**
**- Participate in internal and global projects, to ensure good coordination of processes and work across whole bitFlyer group**
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Develop and enhance risk management processes to support and control growing business activity
- **Desired Skills and Experience**:_
- Risk qualification such as FRM, or relevant Master’s Degree
- At least 5 years of proven experience and increasing responsibility in Risk Management in regulated Financial Services companies (e.g. payment institutions, banks)
- Specific requirement for knowledge and experience in market and credit risk
management
- Information security risk knowledge desirable
- Good understanding of multicultural working environments
- Past exposure, experience, or interest in Crypto or Blockchain desirable
- **Languages**:_
- English proficiency required
- French/German proficiency desirable
- Other European languages and Japanese desirable

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Luxembourg: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
