**Luxaviation Group** is looking for a **Consolidation Officer **to support our **Group CFO Office.** The position will be based in the headquarters (hybrid Europe-based) and the Consolidation Officer will report directly to the Group CFO.
**Operational tasks**
- Responsible for monthly consolidation and Balance Sheet reporting
- Responsible for annual audit and consolidation process
- Preparation of Group Consolidated statutory accounts including disclosure notes and
- Including Impairment testing for group’s intangible assets
- Equity reconciliation to ensure group changes are correctly reported
- File notes to auditors for any issues
- Dealing with Group auditors
- Planning and liaising with local finance staff - timetables and issues
- Maintain Accounting and Reporting Manual
- Maintain COGNOS consolidation system - new entities, account codes, journals, user administration for licenses
- Posting Group journals for intangible asset amortization and minority interest
- Develop COGNOS control and checklists, templates, prepare various reports, charts, tables and other presentations requested
- Maintain COGNOS Disclosure Management System (CDM) for year-end
- Support regional finance staff for year-end reporting and any technical issues with Accounting standards and / or the Consolidation system
- Ad-hoc tasks
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (degree may not be required if suitable experience)
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of IFRS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles, as they affect Group Consolidation
- 3 years of experience working in consolidation and or financial reporting.
- Analytical skills
- Proficient Excel and other Microsoft Office skills,, experience with COGNOS Controller or equivalent consolidation system, CDM or TM1 an advantage
- Full understanding of the ethical standards of a professional accountant (respect confidentiality especially)
- Experience with interaction with auditors
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments, deadlines and quality of work product
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
- Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
- Structured to plan and ensure project goes to plan, ability to work methodically to ensure completeness
- Ability to show empathy to regional finance staff, but still get them to get the job done
- Pro-active, self-motivated - willingness to learn and improve the process
- Language skills - English a requirement, French or another language an advantage
