**Purpose of the job**

The Treasury Analyst is accountable for the proper execution and accuracy of the daily cash management processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

A secondary, but critical responsibility, is to be the primary backup of the Treasury Analyst in charge of the daily cash desk process.

**Main accountabilities**

**Cash management & forecasting**
- Ensure that the procedures described in the European Treasury Cash Desk Manual are applied.
- Invest the excess cash from entities in the region in pre-approved investment vehicles and address any borrowing needs with the Treasury Manager EMEAI
- Ensure the accuracy of the daily cash positions.
- Authorize payments and ensure they are processed on a timely basis.
- Control the effective and timely resolution of the service requests sent to banks
- Approve the various bank charges and commissions applied and ensure that they are accurate.
- Assume the role of overall Program Manager of the various card programs in the region.
- Periodically review the direct debit instructions issued by the entities in the region.
- Address the compliance and KYC requests from our various banking partners on a timely basis and coordinate the various tasks required to open/close bank accounts.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the treasury reporting
- Prepare and analyse monthly and annual cash forecasts to anticipate challenges arising from insufficient cash and assist with cash/dividend repatriation plans.

**Foreign Exchange Management**
- Execute foreign exchange deals on behalf of the entities in the region to address their foreign currency needs during the month and to eliminate the foreign exchange exposure at month-end.

**Trade Finance**
- Support the trade finance activity by being a system administrator of the platform used for that purpose.
- Escalate process related issues to the Treasury Manager EMEAI

**Bank Guarantees**
- Request and/or authorize the issuance of bank guarantees

**Special Projects**
- The Treasury Analyst may assist the Treasury Manager EMEAI in various projects.

**Experience and qualification**

University degree in Finance and preferably Treasury with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in cash management, preferably in an international environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must and knowledge of French is a strong asset

Advanced Excel skills (including macros), and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI would be greatly appreciated
