**Role/ Department**:
Job focus is on managing a small team, providing day-to-day supervision including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, checking on quality and work progress. And at the same time delivering financial reporting and audit requirements of own fund allocations. Operates under general supervision but works on own most of the time.
**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Organizes the work of direct reports, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
- Conducts performance management and career development processes
- Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
- Reviews annual and interim financial statements of assigned funds
- Assists on annual fund investor tax reporting and regulatory reporting
- Delivers high quality service to clients by accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks and requests for information
- Ensures agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met
- Liaises with external auditors and deals with audit queries
- Builds and maintains relationships with clients, auditors and other external parties as well as internally: locally with other departments, with offshore partners and on EMEA level with other Financial Reporting teams
- Works closely with Manager on various processes/projects, such as being assigned to take the lead and/or assist to implement new processes
- Reviews legal documents, SLDs, new business proposals from a Financial Reporting perspective
- Identifies areas of concern and suggests enhancements to procedures where weaknesses or potential inefficiencies are identified
**Skills/ Qualifications**:
- University degree in accounting, finance or economics
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, FRS 102/UK SORP Accounting Standards for investment funds
- Fluent English and excellent interpersonal skills as this role requires interaction at all levels of the organization and externally
- Proficient in the use of Bloomberg, Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills
- Proven relevant experience in financial statements preparation/review and audit/audit management of investment funds
- Experience in fund investor tax reporting and Luxembourg regulatory reporting
- Experience with SunGard InvestOne and Confluence Unity systems
- Experience in project management is an advantage
