**Buyer for Inland Water Transport, port operations and warehousing**

**Scope**:Finished products and raw material handling and river transport within Europe
- Define purchasing strategy and roll-out of purchasing levers
- Market analysis of its portfolio perimeter (monthly reports on the barging market evolution, current and possible future trends on the market)
- Sourcing and Management of suppliers (go on the spot market with a selected panel of supplier, extend it per region if needed, enrich the panel)
- Collect and consolidate plants’ needs
- Find alternatives solutions when there is a peak in demand to ensure that products are shipped on time
- Send request for quotations and negotiate with the potential suppliers
- Report of End of Negotiation, price updates for the contracts (gasoil clause, low waters )
- Negotiate and sign the contracts (with the help of legal department if needed)
- Set-up of KPI’s and follow up of contract deployment
- Collaborate with Lead-users especially on projects and TCO approach for finish products
- Ensure that the current set ups in ports and/or barging are at the expected level in the context of AM decarbonization
- Support to Head of Subcategory for raw materials (prepare and negotiate specific contracts / structure budget and savings data)
- Support to the price database to be transferred into the new Transport Management System (Syltram)
- Quality Management

**Your profile**
- You hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or Supply Chain.
- You have a Successful track record in Procurement for min 3-5 years.
- As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers.
- You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems but also in project management and negotiation.
- You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis.
- Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change
- You are fluent in English and in French. Any additional European language is appreciated.
