Finance & Operations Lead

**Opportunity**: We are looking for a Finance and Operation Leader, based in Luxembourg. You will report to the Managing Partner and work closely with the rest of the FVG team.

**Responsibilities**:
Your primary responsibilities upon joining are set out below, although you may be asked to work on other projects with the Fabric team at any time as we want to encourage a very collaborative culture and your own responsibilities are likely to change and evolve over time as the business grows.
- Financial planning, reporting and cash management:

- a. responsible for providing key insights and analysis on the financial health of the group, developing annual budgets, and forecasting future financial results.
- b. responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports to the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- c. responsible for managing the company's cash resources to ensure that there is enough liquidity to meet the firm's obligations.
- Strategic planning: develop, perform & present strategic initiatives and plans to meet business goals and objectives as set out by board of directors to ensure that business strategies align with the overall mission of the group.
- Risk management (first line of defense): Understand and mitigate key elements of the group’s risks in respect of finance and related areas and ensuring that all risks and breaches of policies and procedures are escalated immediately to the Governance body in place (e.g. Compliance officer, Risk officer and as appropriate to board of directors) and the relevant authority.
- Tax management: ensuring compliance with tax laws and managing relationships with tax authorities to minimize tax liabilities.
- Audit management: overseeing the internal and external audit functions of the group, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and reviewing audit processes.
- Orchestrate the drafting of the Board packs together with the company secretaries to ensure that they are sent out on a timely basis, with relevant portfolio and fund data and KPI to support effective decision making.
- Service providers point of contact: manage relevant service providers to the finance function including payroll provider, tax advisers, legal advisers, bank providers. Present an annual review of all non-Fund service providers to the Board and make recommendations for changes at any time as appropriate. Be the main point of contact for all of these service providers acquiring quotes for work to be done in advance be that on the fund or for a particular investment or divestment etc. and generally managing the ongoing relationship. For outsourced functions, work with the Head of Risk and Compliance to ensure rigorous due diligence within the selection process.
- Manage intellectual property of the Group.
- Manage and mentor your direct reports to ensure effective execution across the accounting, legal, tax, and treasury functions and ensure they receive appropriate training and support.
- Anything else that might be required as part of the performance of your role.
- Being responsible for managing the fund administration function

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience (5+ years) in VC, Private Equity, Investment as senior member of finance team e.g Finance Director or CFO
- Knowledge of digital assets / Open economy space
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and associated risks that require managing for Luxembourg and UK regulation. Cayman also useful
- Experience with portfolio valuations and reporting, detailed fund and financial modelling & budgeting
- Highly analytical, very organised with exceptional attention to detail, fluency in performing financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses as well as managing reporting schedules
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal language skills, as well as data analysis and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive mindset, able to think out of the box and to come up with new ways to improve FVG.
- A flexible, curious and enthusiastic approach to life, with the ability to undertake a wide range of assignments and to manage priorities to achieve deadlines.
- Team player, with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills (High EQ and IQ).
- Fluency in English and French
