**Research Associate in Economics (postdoc, f/m)**

LISER invites highly qualified and motivated applicants for the position of Research Associate (postdoc) within its Labour Market Department. The department has a strong focus in policy evaluation and econometric methods; new technologies and the evolution of skill needs and skill choices; regional economies and worker mobility; migration and work-related inequalities.

**Your role**:
The Research Associate will be asked to:

- Help with HPC infrastructure;
- Work on extraction, classification and analysis of big data;
- Program in Python, R and Rust;
- Work with LLMs, Polars and NLP techniques;
- Work with Selenium to webscrape data;
- Develop reproducible data workflows for large datasets;
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on research projects.

**Your profile**:

- Ph.D. in economics or econometrics;
- Strong interest in data science, programming and advanced econometrics;
- Excellent quantitative skills and hands-on experience working with big data;
- Experience in developing and maintaining research software tools with a commitment to open-source collaboration;
- Excellent writing skills for scientific and more policy-oriented purposes are required;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Enthusiasm for research, critical thinking and working in an interdisciplinary and diverse team.
