Goodyear Tyres have an exciting opportunity in Luxembourg for an internship within Data Science. This internship will be a duration of 6 months, you must be currently enrolled in university.
**The Opportunity**:
The objective of the internship will be to contextualize driving behavior based on geospatial data, map features and other sources of information to establish mission profiles across large fleets of vehicles.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review the state-of-art literature.
- Benchmark different models using various datasets.
- Build, train and validate a machine learning model to establish a driving mission profile.
- Present the status of the project during team meetings.
- Create written documentation and transfer the results to one permanent team member.
**To join our team, you will need**:
**Education**
The student must be enrolled in the **last year of a master’s degree in data science or mathematics.**
**Languages**
Fluency in English is a must.
**Skills**
- Experience with coding in Python.
- Data Science principles, statistics and applied mathematics.
- Some experience with common data science libraries (scikit-learn, numpy, panda,).
- Basic experience with source control system (Git), Linux and High-Performance Computing would be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work with a diverse team, share ideas, and collaborate on solutions.
