We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit a capable, enthusiastic and motivated **visiting lecturer** with expertise in the field of **Culinary and Food Services, hospitality.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

We are looking for an enthusiastic instructor/lecturer in the food sector to provide lectures in the following three modules (topics included)

**1. Cooking & Kitchen Techniques**

Topics Covered: Professional food preparation: preparation techniques,

herbs/spices, Nutrient preservation, kitchen

terminology, food quality, quantity theory, recipes, intro to menu planning, kitchen equipment, work and time planning

**2. Cooking & Kitchen Techniques II**

Topics covered: Menu planning and menu science, Hygiene in the kitchen, Culinary techniques

**3. Organization of Kitchen Operations**

Topics Covered: Organization of kitchen operations, Personnel deployment, personnel, management procurement of goods, quality assurance

**MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS**

In rating competent applicants, the following criteria will be emphasised:

- Educational and professional background in an area relevant to the position
- Ability to deliver learning modules and classes at under-graduate and post-graduate levels
- Proven excellence of teaching in higher education area
- Other documented qualifications relevant for the position (certifications of continuing education, attendance to professional workshops...)
- Good interpersonal skills and team management experience
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to students using a variety of teaching methods, thereby enhancing the student experience
- High level of spoken and written English language skills (English is the language of tuition at LUNEX)
