**Make an impact with NTT DATA**
Join a company that is pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We are renowned for our technical excellence and leading innovations, and for making a difference to our clients and society. Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.
NTT DATA Corporation is a leading, global technology services company. We’re here to enable the connected future. We come together to make the world a better place, and every day we use the power of technology to make it happen. We employ curious people who are ready to change the world. Through the work we do with our clients and in our communities, we find ways that technology can make a positive impact. We call it technology for good. This means helping organizations and society transform and move into the future with a partner they can trust. Technology enables connection. And connections create understanding. The result is connected cities, factories, healthcare, agriculture, conservation, and even connected sport. Together we enable the connected future. Everything is iNTTerconnected.
At NTT DATA we believe that by using innovative technology we can solve global challenges and create a world that is sustainable and secure. We are looking for curious people, from diverse backgrounds, that are keen to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
**Context**:
Enterprises today depend on large-scale, dynamic network infrastructures to keep services reliable, secure, and always available. As these infrastructures expand, manual management becomes increasingly complex, time-consuming, and error-prone. To overcome these challenges, organizations are adopting automation practices that bring efficiency, consistency, and scalability to their network operations.
Network infrastructure automation streamlines the provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of systems, enabling teams to deliver changes faster and with greater reliability. By reducing repetitive manual tasks, automation not only minimizes downtime and risk but also allows engineers to focus on innovation and long-term optimization. This shift supports more agile, resilient, and secure networks, aligning technology operations with evolving business needs.
**Topic**:
Organizations are increasingly adopting automation to improve the efficiency and reliability of their network infrastructures. Automation reduces the risk of human error, accelerates deployment processes, and ensures greater consistency across environments. It also enables scalable operations that can adapt quickly to evolving business demands.
Your goal will be to design and implement automation solutions in accordance with best practices for the NTT network environment. These solutions should be scalable enough to be applied across a wide range of companies.
**What you’ll be doing**:
During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience and deepen your understanding in the following key areas:
- ** Identifying and analyzing automation practices** relevant to modern network infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- ** Developing automation use cases** using tools such as **Python**, **Ansible**, and **AWX** to streamline configuration and management tasks.
- ** Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines** using industry-standard platforms like **GitLab CI/CD**, **GitHub Actions**, and **Jenkins** to automate deployment and orchestration workflows.
- ** Delivering automation solutions** for selected use cases as a final outcome of the internship.
You will be part of the “Network” team, composed of experienced network and security engineers who either deploy technical solutions and services on customer premises (Technical Services team) or manage client infrastructures hosted on shared platforms (Managed Services team).
Throughout the internship, you will receive guidance from a senior engineer and the team leader to help define your approach and milestones. You will also have the opportunity to participate in team meetings and activities, immersing yourself in the professional environment and gaining exposure to the day-to-day challenges faced in network operations.
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:
- Currently in the final year of a Master’s degree (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with traditional networking standards and concepts.
- Strong interest in global technology, networking, and automation.
- Basic knowledge of scripting or automation languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
- Fluency in spoken and written English (additional languages are an asset).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-moving team.
- Previous relevant experience (e.g., internships, academic projects, summer jobs, or initial work experience) will be considered an asset.
**Workplace type**:
