ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS - expert in IT comfort - is hiring to reinforce his teams.
IT services integrator, created in 1991, we position ourselves as IT comfort expert for the small and medium structures. To cover these services, we offer packaged based services and have a personalized service desk.
For larger organization, we are also active in the provision of IT staff and in projects both in operational and development field.
In addition, we also sell, deploy and install hardware (Servers, Storage, PC,...). We also offer technical consulting services.
Mission
The Senior Linux/Unix Administrator is the main operational role for the provision of the Unix operational services. He/She is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of DataCenter environments, Hardware and software and related infrastructure. He/She participates in technical reviews and development to enable continual innovation within the infrastructure and in projects ensuring a smooth transition of projects into daily operations by performing activities linked to operations within the project life-cycle.
Tasks and responsibilities
Day-to-day infrastructure operations.
Incidents resolution and problems identification.
Infrastructure monitoring, availability testing and reporting.
Implements standard changes and service requests.
Write automation solutions in some languages (e.g. Python, Ansible, Bash, Perl).
Documentation management.
On-call service when required.
Profile
University degree or equivalent level through experience and professional training.
At least 5-8 years of professional experience on Linux (ideally RedHat Enterprise Linux), within large-scale Data Centre environments.
Comfortable with most aspects of administration of systems (LVM, process management, resources, file manipulation...).
**Extensive knowledge on protocols**: HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP.
Extensive knowledge network OSI model.
ITIL methodology knowledge.
VMware knowledge and any automated configuration management tool like CFEngine or Ansible is a strong asset.
Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies, capable of self-study.
Fluency in English (at least B2 Level).
