To support the growth of our Luxembourg office, we are looking for a Senior Product Owner who will work closely with the development team to ensure that they have the information, resources, and support they need to build NorthStar’s products effectively.

**Who you'll work with**

NorthStar is starting a new project to design and develop an orbital flow heatmap software. We are building a team in Luxembourg, and you will be one of the first hires You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and software developers with backgrounds in Physics, Engineering Dynamics, and Computer Science.

Your team will work closely with the _Space Intelligence and Information_ (SI2) team in Montreal dedicated to developing innovative solutions for monitoring the space environment using multiple sources for observations and geospatial data.

**What you** will** do**

We are counting on you to:

- Ensure the product vision is implemented cleanly and precisely while balancing it with minimizing technical debt and sound architectural decisions, in collaboration with the technical lead
- Work closely with other POs to synchronize roadmaps and product vision, identify and manage dependencies to form a coherent release management plan
- Define the acceptance criteria for each feature or requirement, and ensure that the development team understands what needs to be delivered
- Define and prioritize the product backlog, and ensure that the development team is working on the right things at the right time
- Review the work produced by the development team and accept or reject it based on whether it meets the acceptance criteria
- Determine which features and requirements are most important, and prioritizing them based on the product roadmap and customer needs
- Document product releases for customers and internal teams
- Communicate with stakeholders, including customers, the development team, and senior management, to ensure that everyone is aligned on the product vision and goals
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that they have the information, resources, and support they need to build the product effectively
- Track the performance of the product, and make changes as necessary to ensure that it meets the needs of customers and the business

**What you bring to the table**
- You have a bachelor's degree in management or technology
- You have a minimum of 7 years' experience as a Product Owner in a tech company with ideally a background in project management
- You’ve worked with multidisciplinary teams (science, software engineering, etc.) and can manage stakeholders' expectations and negotiate compromises when necessary
- You have experience in managing international intellectual property
- You’re familiar with System Engineering concepts
- You’re familiar with our tech environment: Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and Ansible
- You have an entrepreneurial and a data-driven mindset
- You show transparency and collaborative spirit in your everyday work
- You can change your actions, approach or direction to manage a new situation
- You're open to learning new concepts, trying new ways of doing things and taking on new challenges
