Team / division overview

As a Product Specialist in the Xtrackers business, you will cover the entire lifecycle of ETFs, ETCs, Index Funds, and Institutional Mandates; from the product conceptualisation and range strategy, through index and product design, to implementation and ongoing maintenance and liquidations.

Your key focus will be on implementing product events and caring for our products on an ongoing basis after launch. You will be a key partner to stakeholders across the business and industry, including daily interaction with portfolio managers, trading & execution, legal & compliance, client coverage, and various external participants. The Xtrackers Product team has a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture, located across the globe with a strong track-record of developing and promoting talent.

Your responsibilities:

Key responsibilities comprise:

  • Initially support, then run in a self-reliant way the management of product events (e.g. launches, changes, and terminations) of ETCs and ETFs while working with stakeholder groups supporting the event

  • Manage the Xtrackers ETF and ETC range, keeping products up-to-date with regulation, competition and client preferences

  • Support the preparation and management of relevant legal and governance documents as well as management of such approval processes

  • Perform periodic maintenance tasks to ensure regulatory and client reporting obligations are met

  • Contribute and/or run projects to establish new developments or evolutions of existing product structures – from legal documents through operational processes and communication with stakeholders

  • Engage with and help Product, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets and Sales teams in client projects and thought leadership topics

  • Support the Product team with ad-hoc initiatives and projects

  • Support on product ideation, design/development while assuring compliance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements and develop expertise as a Product Specialist across asset classes, themes, and competitor products and activities

We are looking for: 

  • University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance/Economics, or Law

  • Good knowledge and previous work experience in the asset management sector (ETFs/ ETCs a plus) and a keen interest in investment products in general

  • Experience in managing product events, good ESG product and data knowledge and/or regulatory knowledge (UCITS, MiFID, BMR, SFDR)

  • Field experience in project management also a clear plus

  • Previous experience in a technical environment and with the general mathematical concepts of finance and an ability to efficiently communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences

  • Highly diligent, attention to detail working style

  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient, with a can-do attitude and a strong willingness to learn, take on new challenges and serve our clients

  • Diligent, efficient and able to manage multiple conflicting deliverables including working under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, experience with Python programming, MS PowerApps or similar applications as a plus

  • Strong English language skills required. Additional relevant languages as a plus
