The Manager of the Law Knowledge Centre is a newly established position at Loyens & Loeff and will oversee the effective organisation of the Law Knowledge Centre (LKC) which provides professional legal and notarial support to the Expertise Groups: Corporate M&A, Immovable Property, Banking & Finance, Dispute Resolution, Funds and Employment.

The Manager of the LKC works with a team of 18 colleagues based in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. The role involves both hands-on engagement and leadership in empowering the team to independently identify and respond to the needs of the Expertise Groups, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored support.

The position reports to the Cluster Chair, who holds primary responsibility for the relevant Expertise Groups. In this capacity, the role works closely with the Vice Cluster Chair, the Manager of the Tax Knowledge Centre (TKC), the Head of Knowledge Management, the Operations Manager and Legal/Notarial Chairs associated with the LKC.

The role can be performed from any of Loyens & Loeff's Home Markets (currently: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg & Switzerland), though frequent presence in the Amsterdam office is expected as well as regular visits to other Home Markets. As a key player in a dynamic, cross-border environment, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of legal knowledge support across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Manager LKC:
  • Manage the Professional Support Lawyers and LKC Team Assistants;

  • Enhance operational efficiency within the LKC;

  • Foster collaboration within the LKC and across all Expertise Groups;

  • Align with the firm's Knowledge Management department to ensure procurement and availability of knowledge resources;

  • Collaborate and align with the Tax Knowledge Centre on topics including EU Regulation;

  • Maintain communication on Knowledge Support with all Home Markets and International Offices.

This vacancy suits you, because you are/have:
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams in a legal or professional services environment;

  • Ability to mentor and lead diverse, cross-border teams while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment;

  • Experience in budget management, including responsibility for departmental or team-level financial oversight;

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a plus;

  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution and follow-through;

  • (Preferred) Former lawyer or legal / notarial adviser;

  • Higher professional or university education is expected.
