Aviation Receiving and Shipping Inspector

For our department Technicswithin LuxairAirlines, we are looking for a (an):

Aviation Receiving and Shipping Inspector (m/f/x)

Main duties:

  • Ensure proper handling of aircraft parts, tools and materials during the incoming process
  • Inspect and follow-up all incoming materials to identify any damage
  • Verify aircraft parts, tools and other materials certification for compliance with applicable standards
  • Enter and update data into the Technics relevant software
  • Collaborate closely with other departments
  • Ensure proper packing of aircraft components for the shipping process, taking personal responsibility for compliance with current legal and internal regulations including Dangerous Goods packing and declaration as per IATA regulations
  • Actively participate in the department's continuous improvement process
  • Takes over the tasks of the Incoming/Shipping Agent in case of absence or when workload requires

Required profile:

Minimum required criteria

  • Provide a "DAP" in Logistics, with technical background or equivalent
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Show good communication skills in English as well as in French (spoken and written)
  • Show good sense of priorities and attention to details
  • Take initiative
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company
  • Be capable of working independently as well as in a team
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data
  • Occasionally accept to work weekends if required

Desired or to be acquired criteria

  • Have a previous experience in aviation environment
  • Have good knowledge of EASA Part-145
  • Show user skills in the software used in Technics
  • Attend and successfully pass the IATA Dangerous Goods Shipper/Packer Courses and all related refreshers
  • Forklift driving license

The ideal candidate

  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Luxemburgish or any other language is considered as asset
