We are looking for a committed and proactive Payroll Expert to join our Administration team within the HR Shared Services Center of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg. This team plays a central role in delivering high-quality HR administrative services across the organization, supporting a diverse employee population and strengthening the employee experience of our people.

As part of the Human Resources Shared Service Centre of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg, you will contribute to a wide range of HR processes and help ensure operational excellence in a line with the complex Luxembourg regulatory and legislative environment. This position offers the opportunity to work at the heart of HR operations and to provide the best possible employee experience to our staff.

You will be in relation on a daily basis with the HRBPs across the organization, with the teams of the HRSSC and with the other support functions linked to the position or with the local authorities or the ecosystem of partners.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as an expert on payroll subject matter and a first point of contact for employee inquiries on a range of compensation and benefits topics 
  • Participate in the payroll process for ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg
  • Fill in monthly tax & social security declaration as well as annual obligations and year-end consolidation
  • Manage all duties linked to employees' assignment performed abroad (split payroll, A1 request, tax return obligation, declaration to foreign authorities, etc..)
  • Be responsible for the preparation of all documents linked to a tax control
  • Prepare and follow-up the annual salary review process
  • Manage relationships with payroll related stakeholders (Social Security, Tax administration, etc..) in Luxembourg and abroad
  • Provide employees with best- in- class experience for their requests
  • Maintain employee data and key documents in HR systems
  • Use HR Systems to provide information for reports and/or analysis
  • Participate into transformation projects dedicated to process efficiency linked to payroll
  • Train employees or HR on payroll specific topics (cross border working, fringe benefits)
  • Perform handbook and policy updates as assigned
  • Lead and manage projects within the area of Compensation & Benefits
  • Be part of transverse projects to digitalize the HR Shared Services and bring a best of class & personalized service to the ArcelorMittal delegates in Luxembourg.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Payroll in Luxembourg or a similar role with a solid understanding of Luxembourg labor laws.
  • Proficiency in SAP HR or similar HRIS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to reflect on your work, challenge existing practices when relevant, and propose thoughtful improvements.
  • Team spirit and openness to change, with the ability to contribute constructively to ongoing transformation efforts and challenge the status-quo
  • Ability to communicate efficiently at all levels of the organization, internally and externally
  • Project management, priorities management, business orientation and quality management approach are additional assets bringing a competitive advantage.
  • Digital skills and agility with data and reporting is a plus.

Languages

  • Fluency in French and English is required
  • Any other language will be considered as a plus
