We are looking for a EU Policy Expert on Financial Instrument.

Location: Luxembourg, Hybrid

Start date: 01/2026

Minimum requirements:

  • University degree (at least Bachelor) in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, banking, business administration, law, European affairs, mathematics, public administration, or any other related discipline
  • at least 5-year hands-on professional experience in implementation of financial instruments supported by EU funds (under shared or central management), implemented within the EU, gathered e.g. by working in/for EC, EIBG, managing authorities, national promotional banks or institutions (NPBIs) or other public or private sector financial institutions implementing such financial instruments in an EU Member State,
  • A track record in delivering reports, studies (e.g. ex-ante assessments) and other comprehensive written documents in English within the above-mentioned field è ideally at least 3 examples of work to be provided with information on role in delivering this activity,
  • C2 level English proficiency.

Assets:

  • A track record in delivering presentations at public or internal events in the above-mentioned field è ideally list of such activities (at least 3) to be provided with information on role in delivering this activity,
  • Robust sector expertise in EU policies such as EU cohesion policy, EU common agricultural policy, EU migration policy, and/or robust experience in banking,
  • Strong understanding of horizontal topics such as State aid, public procurement, reporting, related to the above-mentioned field of EU financial instruments,
  • C1/C2 level proficiency in any other official EU languages,
  • EU national.
