Our client is an innovative company in the field of optical communication technologies, headquartered in Luxembourg.
DESCRIPTION
The Optical Technician will play a key role in supporting the development, assembly, and quality control of advanced optical systems. The position involves hands-on work with precision components in a clean and organized laboratory setting, contributing to both research and development as well as serial production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate equipment and optical test benches according to established procedures
- Perform measurements of optical components and systems using metrology equipment and hand tools
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and documentation
- Assist engineers with optical, mechanical, and metrology tasks in R&D and production contexts
- Conduct quality control inspections of optical components
- Manage laboratory inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols in the lab
Bachelor's degree in physics, optical engineering, or a related field (or willingness to pursue a degree through a work-study program)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work
- Experience in precision system integration (optical, opto-mechanical, aerospace or similar)
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Basic understanding of optics, lasers, or optical measurements (strong asset)
- Experience working in cleanroom environments (strong asset)
- Reliable, organized, and proactive work ethic
- Manual dexterity and patience to handle delicate components
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility
- Skilled in problem-solving and goal-oriented tasks
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or aerospace quality standards
