As Deputy Chief Operating Officer, you will act as
the right hand of the COO
, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing the operational strategy of the Bank. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader to influence transformation, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service across all core banking functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Governance
- Oversee end-to-end banking operations, ensuring resilience, compliance, and efficiency across payments, custody, trading, client onboarding, IT, and outsourcing.
- Contribute to the regulatory governance framework, liaising with control functions and ensuring adherence to CSSF and EU/LU requirements.
- Act as delegate to the COO in executive committees, regulatory discussions, and cross-departmental initiatives when required.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization and scalability initiatives.
- Lead selected transformation projects aligned with business priorities.
- Develop and review operational procedures before sign-off by the COO.
People & Performance
- Mentor and motivate teams to foster a performance-driven and collaborative culture.
- Support the COO in monitoring KPIs, managing risk controls, and ensuring service delivery excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10–15 years in senior management roles within banking services, ideally in Luxembourg-regulated entities.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale operational functions and risk management frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Luxembourg and EU regulatory frameworks (CSSF, AML/KYC, outsourcing).
- Strong leadership, strategic mindset, and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English; French and/or German are a plus.
