Our client, a well-established international financial institution, is expanding its Depositary Services dedicated to Alternative Investment Funds in Luxembourg. As part of this growth, the organisation is seeking a Depositary Manager to oversee client relationships, operational oversight, and team development within a fast-evolving environment.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a central role in ensuring regulatory compliance, service excellence, and operational accuracy. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Identify and anticipate potential issues, evaluate risks, and provide suitable solutions.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with industry stakeholders including auditors, law firms, banks, and administrators.
- Coordinate, review, and validate all deliverables produced by the team.
- Ensure operational activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to maintaining a robust control framework and high service quality.
- Lead, coach, and support team members to foster growth and performance.
- Plan and organise daily workloads to ensure efficiency and timely delivery.
- Encourage collaboration and a positive team culture.
- Oversee selected internal projects linked to operational enhancement or regulatory evolution.
- Support process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of the Depositary function.
Background and Experience
- Proven experience as a Manager within the fund industry.
- Strong knowledge of Alternative Investment Funds, particularly in Private Equity and Real Estate.
- Good understanding of AIFMD and Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
- Previous involvement in Depositary Services or audit of AIF structures is highly advantageous.
- Experience working with multiple service providers in the Luxembourg ecosystem.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-oriented approach.
- Flexible, hands-on, and proactive, able to operate confidently in a dynamic environment.
- Solid leadership capabilities with a supportive and structured management style.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluency in German is a strong asset.
