We are looking for a
Process Engineer (m/f/d)Based in Luxembourg, you will integrate and reinforce our blast furnace process department and support our internal and external customers with know-how and expertise in blast furnace operation. As far as customer support goes, this can range from consultancy and studies to detailed audits and operation support.
Within your responsibility, you will support blast furnace projects from the initial discussion with customers, to the process calculations and the formulation of process guarantees, consulting the sales and project management throughout offering and project phases.
You will closely collaborate with other engineering teams supporting them on the interaction of their technologies with the blast furnace operation and the development of new technologies, automation solutions and projects.
Besides classical blast furnace topics, you are expected to actively participate in the development of new technologies and solutions such alternative direct reduction technologies, process modelling and energy saving technologies in metallurgy.
Your main tasks:- Modelling and dimensioning of the processes and the equipment
- Development of new technologies and processes
- Support of the project teams concerning technological and process aspects
- Assistance to our customers concerning the optimization of operation parameters and the application of Paul Wurth key equipment
- Commissioning of new blast furnaces and equipment
- Supervision and execution of cold and hot commissioning activities at the blast furnace
- Planning and execution of special blast furnace operations such as blow-in, blow-down, recoveries, ….
- Support to customers for the implementation of new / green technologies.
- Master or higher technical education in Metallurgy or similar fields
- Work experience in blast furnace operation
- Experience with cold and hot commissioning activities
- Fluency in English and high-level communication skills in relation to customer and project team
- Interested to work with an international team of process and technology experts
- High degree of initiative and responsibility and willingness to fully invest yourself in the assigned projects
- Ability to work in a professional and independent manner
