Education/Experience

  • Holding a university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrating proven experience as a Project Manager in the aerospace secure communications sectors.
  • Possessing strong knowledge of security standards, classified information handling, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, EU/NATO security requirements, ITAR, GDPR where applicable).
  • Exhibiting demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder development projects.
  • Holding PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
  • Displaying excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Maintaining valid security clearance up to Secret level of confidentiality.

Desirable Skills

  • Being familiar with satellite systems architecture, secure communications, or ground segment development.
  • Gaining experience working with governmental agencies or defence/security institutions.
  • Being able to manage culturally diverse and international teams.

Duties

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of the satellite system development project, focusing on security requirements.
  • Acting as the primary interface between the company, governmental stakeholders, and subcontractors on behalf of the SES local security officer.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to national and international security regulations regarding classified and sensitive governmental information.
  • Coordinating with engineering, security office, and compliance teams to integrate cybersecurity, physical security, and data protection measures into system design and operations.
  • Developing, monitoring, and updating project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Managing risk assessment and mitigation strategies, especially for security-related threats.
  • Overseeing documentation, audits, and certifications required by governmental security authorities.
  • Providing regular progress and security compliance reports to senior management and government representatives.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure both technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
