Specialist Test Engineer, Luxembourg (Onsite) – European Investment Bank

Job role: Specialist Test Engineer.

Location: Luxembourg (Onsite).

Studies: Master's degree in IT, Computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Language: English (C1).

DESCRIPTION

Tasks:

  • Examine and interpret project specifications.

  • Develop comprehensive testing strategies and plans, including estimating and designing test cases.

  • Perform both manual and automated tests, and evaluate the outcomes to ensure software quality.

  • Write automation scripts using tools and languages such as Java, Katalon, Selenium, and TestNG.

  • Document and report software defects to development teams, and assist in identifying root causes and reproducing issues.

  • Collaborate with various teams to maintain high standards of quality throughout the development process.

  • Lead and coordinate testing activities during software releases and post-release validation.

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the data analytics infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 11+ years of experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on automation testing.

  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to analyze complex systems and provide efficient solutions.

  • Proven experience in test design and test execution.

  • Proven experience in quality assurance.

  • Proven ability to work in Agile teams (ISTQB AGILE Certified Tester or equivalent).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance in large (more than 500 employees) organizations, in the credit risk and compliance areas.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation scripting (Katalon and selenium TestNG).

  • Proven experience in QA coordination or test manager position.

IT skills:

  • Katalon.

  • Manual and automated testing.

  • Bug tracking and troubleshooting issues.
