Our client, a company specialized in engineering and manufacturing turn-key, custom-designed systems for wastewater treatment, water reuse, and industrial pre-treatment, provides innovative and sustainable solutions for the most demanding industrial and environmental applications.

Our client now has an opening for a PROCESS ENGINEER

Under the supervision of the Manager / Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing client needs and designing the full process of projects, including the methods to be used, required components, and project scheduling.

Your role:

  • Designing the complete process of the project, including timing, costs, and components required;

  • Drawing the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID);

  • Designing and implementing new processes or modifying existing ones to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality;

  • Analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and developing solutions to optimize workflows and resolve process issues;

  • Preparing detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and project outcomes;

  • Diagnosing and resolving process-related issues in a timely manner;

  • Ensuring processes adhere to safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards;

  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations;

  • Participating in the commissioning of the installations designed and manufactured by the company;

  • Communicating with clients' technical representatives.

Your profile

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Engineering degree with knowledge in Hydraulics, Water Treatment, or Environmental Solutions;

  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the water sector;

  • Proven experience with UT and RO filtration;

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and process control;

  • Solid knowledge of process optimization techniques and control systems;

  • Proficient in process analysis, modeling, statistical analysis, and simulation software;

  • Good general knowledge of MS Office and MS Project;

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German or French is an asset;

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations;

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, autonomous self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills;

  • Business-centric approach to R&D with a passion for innovation;

  • Hands-on attitude, conceptual and out-of-the-box thinking;

  • Team player, problem solver, attentive to detail;

  • Well-structured, proactive, resourceful;

  • Excellent communication skills, good listener, able to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
