Risk Specialist, Customs and Trade

We are actively seeking for Risk Specialist to support our Europe customs clearance operations. This includes ocean, air, rail and truck cross-border shipments for both 3rd party and 1st party entry filing tasks. Risk Specialist monitors the risks and communicates with sellers/vendors/3P customs brokers/internal ops teams for shipment and document preparation, monitor shipment clearance status and escalate issues when necessary. Risk Manager will have solid industry knowledge of the advanced EU/UK-wide customs and regulatory requirements and can reference when needed in addition to being well-versed in entry filing and product classifications, documentation requirements. Key job responsibilities
• Analyze operational metrics and develop actionable insights
• Create and maintain dashboards for performance tracking
• Identify trends and patterns to optimize customs clearance processes
• Drive data-driven decision making for process improvements
• Verify and maintain customs documentation accuracy
• Act as subject matter expert for customs-related queries
• Provide training and guidance to team members
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in an industry role
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
- Customs brokerage experience in EU/UK markets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export operations, or data entry/data administration
