Financial Controller

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support day-to-day financial controlling activities and ensure strong coordination with external service providers. The role is fully onsite at the client's premises and focuses on operational finance oversight, deadline management, and accurate statutory/fiscal delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Financial Controlling

  • Perform operational financial controlling activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Monitor and analyse costs, budgets, and operational financial performance.
  • Provide regular reporting and variance analysis to internal stakeholders.
  • Support monthly/quarterly closing activities and ensure proper documentation.

Coordination of Service Providers

  • Coordinate and manage external service providers (e.g., accounting firms, auditors, tax advisors).
  • Ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Proactively follow up to secure inputs and outputs required for statutory processes.

Statutory & Fiscal Deadlines

  • Ensure deadlines for:
  • Annual accounts / statutory financial statements
  • Fiscal declarations / tax filings

    are met in full and on time.
  • Track compliance calendars and maintain clear communication with relevant parties.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong background in financial controlling and operational finance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including external providers.
  • Solid understanding of annual accounts processes and fiscal declarations.
  • Highly organised with excellent deadline management skills.
  • Confident communicator in English, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working fully onsite in a client environment.

Contract Details

  • Start date: 1 January
  • Duration: 6 months (extension TBC)
  • Location: Fully onsite at client premises
  • Language: English (professional working proficiency required)
