Why This Role Is Valuable 

Your role is (including but not limited to) providing VAT support to the tax compliance team within the Finance Department.

In this role you will be preparing, reviewing Luxembourg VAT periodical and annual VAT returns, providing VAT advice to our stakeholders and have the opportunity to extend your knowledge to corporate income tax.

VAT Compliance

• Assist in the filing and the updating of VAT for the SPV's: prepare periodic and annual declarations for review whilst following processes as drafted by the SVP tax
• Provide support to accountants regarding VAT issues
• Liaise with VAT authorities
• Ensure legal and statutory compliance through liaison with legal advisors in respect of VAT matters
• Follow trainings in relevant VAT matters when necessary

Direct Tax Compliance

• Assist in the filing and the updating of Direct Tax for the SPV's: prepare declarations for review whilst following processes as drafted by the VP tax
• Liaise with Tax authorities
• Ensure legal and statutory compliance through liaison with legal advisors in respect of Tax matters
• Follow trainings in relevant Tax matters when necessary

Other Responsibilities

• Tax documents filing and archiving
• Handling incoming and outgoing mail
• Updating the documents in the database
• Taking care of payments for tax documents
• Coordinating signatures of tax documents
• Re-directing calls as appropriate and taking adequate messages when required
• Handling general administrative tasks

 What You Bring To The Role

• Bachelor Degree in a relevant field such as Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics
• Fluency in English (verbally and in writing) – French is considerated as an advantage
• 2-3 years' experience in Luxembourg in a similar position, Real Estate Fund industry is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• High sense of organization and detail-orientation;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong work ethic and proactive with a positive attitude
• Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
