This is a remote position.

Intecfy is hiring a Senior Python Developer (FastAPI / Django / AI) – Freelance – 100% Remote from Europe. Our client is a Luxembourg-based tech company building next-generation financial and analytics tools designed to automate complex workflows for SMEs and enterprises across Europe.

You'll join a team of 25 experienced engineers and product thinkers who move fast, ship clean code and value autonomy over bureaucracy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust backend services using FastAPI and/or Django REST Framework
  • Develop and maintain scalable APIs for financial and AI-powered modules
  • Implement data processing pipelines and integrations with external systems (accounting, payments, analytics)
  • Manage databases and caching layers (PostgreSQL, Redis)
  • Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance through testing and code reviews
  • Work closely with product and frontend teams to define and deliver features

Requirements

  • Minimum +5 years of professional experience in Python backend development
  • Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django REST Framework
  • Strong understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL) and API design
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Familiar with AI integrations or data workflows (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.)
  • Familiarity with asynchronous Python or microservice architectures
  • Great communication skills in English (minimum +B2 level)
  • Based in Europe (±2h CET)
