The **Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences** (FHSE) brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences. People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the **disciplinary** approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed.
The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on **social, economic, political **and** educational** issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society. The FHSE offers six Bachelor and twenty Master degrees and a doctoral school providing students with the necessary knowledge and high-qualified skills to succeed in their future career.
**Your Role...**:
**Activities**
- Recruitment, and clinical psychological and psychophysiological assessment of a representative Luxembourgish sample (Study I), a student sample (Study II) and a sample of patients showing specific somatic symptoms using structured-clinical interviews, laboratory-based paradigms, and psychophysiological methods (e.g., EEG, ECG, EMG, blood pressure)
- Support of the principal investigator, Prof. Dr. André Schulz, in the administration and management of the project
- Writing a doctoral thesis in Biological, Clinical and Health Psychology based on original manuscripts published in high quality, peer-reviewed journals
**What we expect from you**:
- Stress, interoception and body-related mental disorders (e.g., medically unexplained symptoms)
- Psychological assessment using structured clinical interviews
- Psychophysiological methods (EEG/ERP, cardiovascular methods)
- Theories, models and current international research in Biological, Clinical and Health Psychology, and their overlapping concepts
