Job description
**Location**:
The position is located in the heart of Luxembourg, the financial center of Europe. The city offers a high quality of life with excellent transportation links, cultural amenities and a friendly and international community.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements in accordance with professional audit standards and regulations
- Assess and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, identify areas for improvement and recommend courses of action to management
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to auditing in the financial services industry
- Manage audit teams, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
- Participate in the development of the annual risk-based audit plan
- Lead the communication and relationship building with senior management, stakeholders and external auditors
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Professional certification preferred (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)
- At least 5 years of experience in internal auditing, with emphasis on auditing banks and PFS
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate teams
- Willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry developments
- EU right to work
