**How will you contribute?**:
- You will join the Environmental and Industrial Biotechnologies (BIOTECH) research unit at LIST. We are looking for a future colleague to help us establish a biodiscovery platform based on the untargeted expression of fungal biosynthetic gene clusters couple with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics.
- You will be trained in omics, mass spectrometry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and science communication (writing, presenting and outreach). The outcome of the project is valorised through different streams, such as publications and patents.
- You hold a PhD degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, microbiology, or a related field, and you have excellent skills in microbiology, molecular biology and notions of mass spectrometry. You enjoy learning new things, using your creativity to solve problems, and taking advantage of opportunities to build further your skills. You are used to communicating effectively in English, both in writing and orally, and documenting your work.
- You are careful, conscientious, and well organized in the lab, happy to work with others and motivated to make a difference in what you do. Hands-on experience with microbial cultures, metabolomics data processing and bioinformatics are important for this position.
