This opportunity combines planning, project management, engineering knowledge, facilities management, operations knowledge and program management. It requires a person awho can show proven ability in the program and change management fields, excels in communications skills at all levels, is able to organize and create processes where they don’t exist (high ambiguity) and is capable of creating and implementing governance frameworks that allow the stakeholders to operate towards the goals.

Key job responsibilities
- Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organisations
- Standardize processes, timelines, dependencies.
- Be a governance facilitator that maintains structure, procedures and standard ways of working that follow a common language for project and program delivery.
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish
- Build mechanisms to identify risk in a sustainable and scalable way, as well as lead the communication with the business and related stakeholders to identify mitigations or solutions.
- Develop, evaluate and simplify current working procedures and improve organization team structure and document tracking.
- Understand, track and communicate risk to project deliverables with the project owners to identify a path forward and mitigation plans.
- Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision-making, resolve escalation issues between the teams and help requests.
- Lead critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership/business on potential risks and delays.
- Create, submit and track the relevant Capex documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and best overall value.
- Lead a team of program managers, with the ability to structure the portfolio and the functions.
- Develop, present and execute business cases (e.g. new strategies, investments, retrofits) by collaborating with over 30+ teams
- Drive standardization and consistency within our network while staying within budgets, and bench-marking cost against past projects, other business units and market conditions.
- Interface, communicate and partner with cross functional teams at senior levels of management.
- Work closely with Real Estate, Engineering, Safety, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, General Contractors, Operations, and the Project Team to build and secure support and resources for projects.
- Connect with the different stakeholders (Finance, Engineering, Network Planning, etc.) to standardize investment frameworks and financial models.

A day in the life
As we move forward with our plans, Senior Managers help organise and direct our efforts so that programme milestones and key deliverables are met. You’ll also play an active role in defining scope for complex programmes and initiatives, and you’ll present your analysis and recommendations to Directors and Vice Presidents to inform change at the most senior level.

You’ll manage a team of Programme and Project Managers who will work alongside a variety of tech, operations, and business stakeholders to drive business-critical programmes. You’ll challenge and guide the team to ensure the timely progress and completion of their deliverables, coordinate their efforts, and address a lack of traction or adoption where necessary. You will always be looking to the future and exploring how to create the most value for the business and the customer.
