WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Luxembourg office, you will be you will be responsible for the planning, directing, and monitoring of all procurement activities so that the goods, materials, supplies, and services the organization buys meet its standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Working with a scope of responsibly up to $200 million, you'll establish and implement strategies for negotiating commodity purchase agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms. Additionally, you will manage and lead efforts on cost savings initiatives in line with a profit plan and overall business objectives. This role will report to the Sr. Director Strategic Sourcing (Denver).

**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:

- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be leading negotiation for the assigned portfolio of Indirect Spend categories.
- This position is vital to Gates because of usage of cost models to validate commodity strategies and to understand significant cost drivers.
- You will be acquiring and maintaining an understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology road maps.
- You will be managing supply base by establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics for all of procurement to ensure total cost, as well as mitigate price increases and find alternate supply base.
- Your fit in the organization will be acting as project manager (develop, manage and implement) for cross functional teams to build stakeholder alignment (Technical, Engineering, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Regional and local teams, etc.) to meet objectives.

**ABOUT YOU**
- You have a minimum of 5+ years' of progressive global change agent experience in commodity management, indirect category management or CapEx.
- You hold at least a BA/BS Degree; an MBA is preferred.
- You are proficient with Microsoft and MRP/Supply Chain systems.
- You have excellent analytical and project management capabilities.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication across regions, functions, and levels
- You are recognized for your excellent negotiating capability.
- You are known for your collaborative and influence management skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
- You appreciate developing exceptional time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast paced environment.
- A first experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- This position may require travel time of 30%+.
