We are a technology team formed to solve an exciting challenge: How do we design (plan), run and monitor the Global Amazon transportation network while optimizing it for customer experience, quality, carbon emissions and cost? We are seeking a rock star Analytics Manager to join our growing team to help establish processes around accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. In this role you will work closely with leaders across product, UX, and finance to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. You will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from Amazon’s data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. You should be able to effectively partner, communicate and earn trust across teams while leading a team of business intelligence engineers delivering KPIs, building rapid data prototypes. You have expertise in mining large and diverse data sets, data visualization, writing SQL queries, building rapid prototypes and generating insights that enable leaders to make critical business decisions. You have the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others because you are an effective communicator with superior relationship building skills. You have experience providing guidance and support for other engineers with industry best practices and direction. You are comfortable with ambiguity and communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company. You are motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities Establish and clearly communicate organizational vision, goals and success measures. Lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers who use data and metrics to drive decision-making Interface with Global Stakeholders, Product Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers across time zones to gather requirements by asking right questions, analyzing data, and drawing conclusion by making and validating appropriate assumptions. Evaluate ideas and build foundation of our selection decisions by conducting analyses, deep-dives, due diligence of proposed solutions, validating hypotheses by collaborating with product managers and stakeholders etc. Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to help shape product development and drive adoption Possess great analytical abilities and judgment. Use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize and influence, show creativity, experimentation and innovation, and drive projects with urgency in a fast-paced environment Experience with rapid (data) prototyping and other creative mechanisms to gather direct customer feedback early in the product development process. Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Own reporting of output and input metrics; feedback to product development and technology and business leadership.
