Luxembourg ArcelorMittal Temps plein

**Introduction**:
Are you looking for an opportunity to create and lead the ESG procurement capabilities for one of the biggest steel producers in the world?

ArcelorMittal is partnering with Acre to hire an experienced ESG Procurement Lead to bring expertise in managing ESG risk in procurement processes to the organization and to ensure compliance with the most important external regulations. As the ESG Procurement Lead, you'll have the opportunity to build a new expertise center in one of the world's leading manufacturing companies.

**About ArcelorMittal**:
With almost 160,000 employees worldwide, ArcelorMittal is one of the biggest steel producers in the world. Headquartered in Luxembourg, they sit near the heart of European sustainability innovation and are investing heavily in clean and responsible steel production. Steel plays a critical role in our built environment, which accounts for nearly 40% of global emissions, so the challenge to take on could not be more urgent.

Within ArcelorMittal's procurement company, the EPO (European Procurement Organization), efforts to integrate sustainability into the company's entire value chain are taken very seriously. A critical part of these efforts is the hiring of an ESG Procurement Lead, to bring ESG risk management and strategic ESG procurement experience to the company.

**ESG Procurement Lead**:
The ESG Procurement Lead will be in charge of strengthening and deploying procurement processes and ensuring compliance with ESG/ResponsibleSteel external regulations and internal directives. They will also manage responsible sourcing topics with the European Procurement Organisation (EPO) and have an important voice in ArcelorMittal's broader sustainability team.

**The most important responsibilities of the ESG Procurement Lead are**:

- Lead the development, management and deployment of an ESG supply chain management system, standards and policies to meet supply chain legislations and align with ResponsibleSteel's certification standard.
- Review how the ESG risks and issues have been identified and managed so far and improve the existing strategy and policies for assessing ESG risks and gaps across all stages of the supply chain.
- Oversee ESG risk exposure identification, measurement, analysis and monitoring in collaboration with buying teams and establish relevant prioritization.
- Support in tracking and measuring progress (KPIs, dashboards and action plans) using internal and external IT Tools and platforms.
- To manage Conflict minerals CMRT and EMRT for customers and surveys of suppliers to ensure filling for US and EU regulations.
- Act as the linking pin between procurement and ArcelorMittal's broader sustainability team, exchanging best practices and driving innovation.
- Engage with suppliers on their performance, risks identified, and mitigation measures in place in close collaboration with buying teams (ex. launch supplier evaluation campaigns on responsible sourcing topics).
- Create education programmes, trainings and guidance for implementation of the supply chain strategy and management system for EPO, and other procurement personnel in operation.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in an equivalent role, ideally with a focus on supply chain/suppliers risk management - human rights, environment, and compliance.
- In-depth experience and knowledge of ESG / Human rights / International relations.
- A thorough understanding of procurement processes within industrial and manufacturing organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Robust communication skills at all levels - Clear, concise, and effective oral and written communication skills
- Well organized and able to maintain structure in your work.
- You are proactive and can think one step ahead.
- You are a constructive team player and have an open attitude towards other cultures as ArcelorMittal collaborates across borders in their organization.
- Fluent in English. All other European languages as a plus
